And Week 23!

Ok, it seems too long time without drawing's not good for me. Once i start, it all floods in again :P I'm very happy with this; with the character design and a crow being involved (i love them!) so i might actually do a series of them like a story book.

I used one of the awesome textures of princess-of-shadows at DA

By the way, my leisure cat series hasn't come to an end yet, I will continue drawing the rest as soon as possible.

A break from the break (Also Week 22)

I'm on holiday right now, and also have started to learn Maya, and it takes pretty much all my time, so I took a break from illustrating for a while. But this came out nowhere while listening to Erik Satie, so it had to be drawn :)

-Hopefully I'll be submitting some cgi stuff soon!-

Holiday

I'm on holiday and won't be drawing for a while. I've started learning a new software in the meantime and have some minor projects I need to work on. But I will return to my illustrations before too long.

Week 20

Yes, finally November's here. This one was particularly difficult!
And December's coming soon!

Saturday 7 November 2009

Missing week

Yes, i'm still here. But with technical problems, hence there won't be an illustration this week. Hopefully will make up for it next week or the week after. :/

Week 19 - A calendar's on its way!

Ok here's the deal: using my character above, i make an illustration for every month of the year - in a completely different style. I want to put all my might into this. Hopefully it'll teach me a lot, and with a little bit of patience and hard work, i'll start to produce some pictures beyond my average. I'll try to make one illustration per week, but since i'll be putting extra effort into these, sometimes it might take longer than that. First one's October:

Late!

Yes I'm running late on my illustration posts.
Instead, I've been working on the illustrations for the website of Revolve Design - a new webdesign company/collective formed by my husband, my brother and me. Do check it out!
And I've been also preparing some things for this year's Telltale Halloween contest, which was lots of fun!
But there's a little illustration project I'm working on right now, which will take me a while, but I think it's going to be really good for me, and teach me a lot. It involves 12 illustrations (1 of which's about to finish, and then I will post it here), and I will give more information about them once the first one's done and submitted.

And here's the illustrations for the animated entry for the ToMI halloween contest:

Week 18

I just realised it'll be 6 months with Illustralog soon! After 6 months, I might give it a little break, or take it a bit more easier, and produce more detailed stuff. Make it more of a challenge for myself. :)

This one here is a request pic by xhathawayx of her character Hath. I was given freedom with the composition, and since Hath has some respiratory problems, I thought it would be good to position her next to a nice little air vent. :) I've also wanted to do an indoors background for a while now. I plan to work on those more in the near future.

Thursday 8 October 2009

Week 16

Something sketchy this week, because I'm working on something big at the moment, which will be out soon. Also another illustration is on its way, if I find the time to finish it.

Saturday 3 October 2009

Week 15

Finally week 15 is here! The textures I used can be grabbed from here and here.

Friday 2 October 2009

And curiosity killed the cat!

This is something I've been working on for a while:
My Curious Cat Badge Set is finally out! (Sales are only for UK at the moment.) :)

Wednesday 30 September 2009

Week 14

Posting this one for last week, and this week's illustration's coming very soon.

Wednesday 23 September 2009

Week 13

I was so annoyed with the file corruption, I decided not to work on the same illustration for a while... So I've done something completely different instead. Different to any other styles I've tried so far too. So here is the girl with the ghost cat :) (I will try to make it up for the last week, and finish the corrupted illustration this week too. So hopefully I'll post another image soon.)

P.S.: The textures I used can be found at here, here and here.

Sunday 20 September 2009

Corruption!

Days of good work went to waste with a corrupted file. Take heed, children; SAVE and SAVE AS! :( - There won't be an illustration posted this week. (Well, there will be, but it'll be a little late.)

Wednesday 9 September 2009

Week 12

That's 3 months of the challenge done! Here's Gogol the golden golem :) And I realised I've been drawing too many outdoors illustrations lately, with lots of shine, so next week I will try a dark indoors for a change.

Wednesday 2 September 2009

Week 11

A bit early this week. This was lying around for too long, so i finally finished it. Still a bit messy in places but i do like brush strokes showing.

Sunday 30 August 2009

Moodboards

This week I've been drawing moodboards for a project by Jean-Baptiste Lequime from Link Your Art production company with the working title "Retrospectare". The project is currently in development, but I was allowed to present the moodboards on my portfolio, so here they are:

Week 10

This week I thought i'd have a go at the "meme"s on DeviantArt. There are more to come! Monster Meme of gajebump (The blank version can be found at here),with my character Loi from my upcoming animation.

and the watermelon is rotten on this one:

Sunday 23 August 2009

Week 9

This week it's an illustration for E4's background competition.

Wednesday 19 August 2009

Week 8

Early on the 8th week, with many illustrations. I've got 2 different versions for the alley pic. And the Catwoman pic is probably the only fan art i have ever done (although it was inspired by a part about bats on Planet Earth! :))

Sunday 9 August 2009

Week 6 - A very busy one!

This week was quite chaotic, lots of travelling and settling, so I couldn't do much. So, I'm just posting a simple illustration.

Tuesday 28 July 2009

(Still) Week 5 - Another one?!

Yes, I feel very productive nowadays. Just keep drawing.. just keep drawing...

Monday 27 July 2009

(An early) Week 5

Since I was feeling guilty about my previous 2 illustrations for my weekly illustration challenge, this week I thought I should try and do not only something completely different, but something i'm not good at drawing as well. What better than environment painting?! So here it is. Even though it lacks some detail, i'm quite pleased with it.

Saturday 25 July 2009

Week 4

I can't believe i lasted through one month, and I've still got lots of other illustrations started! Well, one self-evaluation so far would be they're starting to become too similar styles and the last two have been quite girly illustrations... But i'll try to do something completely different for next week.

Saturday 18 July 2009

Week 3

It was a busy week, yet I could do it! Here's the 3rd week's illustration. I also started other illustrations for the following weeks, so unless something goes wrong, I'll be able to keep up with my challenge for a few more weeks.

Saturday 11 July 2009

Week 2

2nd week on my 1 illustration per week challenge! So far so good.

Tuesday 7 July 2009

Website Illustrations

These are the illustrations from my website Illusian. The first batch is still the current design, while the last image is the design to be once I have time to work on the next version of the website. Although I'm not going to use the whole thing, but only the first part of the image with the giant girl in the city.

Trying different things - Week 1

Seems like I've gone back into an illustration phase again! Lately I've been trying different things with illustrations, making each in a completely different style. I'll try to finish one illustration per week.

Book illustrations

Here are some examples of my illustrations for books (some were published, some weren't.)

Little Girl's Dreams by Inci Tulpar
Story © Inci Tulpar
© Citlembik Publications.

This one is from a Turkish legends book which is still pending to be published.

These two were made as trial illustrations for a publishing company. I never got the job unfortunately.
